One second you're being treated like a paying customer and the next it's like you have "idiot" sharpied on your forehead. Normally I would mark this up to encountering someone in the midst of a bad day, but when it is multiple people in multiple days...sorry. I won't be visiting this establishment again if I ever make another trip to GJ.

Blue moon, you saw me standing alonnnnnne...at 9 pm-ish dinner on a Saturday, and had the place pretty much to ourselves (probably because a really loud new club held a grand opening down the street that night). There was another group enjoying the cool evening on the front patio, however we elected to sit inside after seeing a mosquito (hey, stop judging, we already had several itchy bites). Service was on point, the place looked clean, and the food was good. Not amazing, but good. The pita pizza "specialty" was a good call, and the burgers were good burgers. Caesar salad was tasty, but had a lot of dressing. I would return to drink and snack if I lived in the area.

I've eaten here a few times. Had an early lunch today with a co-worker as it is very close to my office. Excellent, fast service. It's pretty dark for lunch time, but other than that, it was good. I'm not a drinker, so I can't testify on their beers, but the food is good.

As a lady who works from home and often opts for peanut butter toast, today I decided to treat myself to a little take-out for lunch. Blue Moon was an easy choice for me, as it's less than a block from my house (but for anyone else, they've got a FREE parking lot directly across the street which is nice, considering it's downtown). Could not find a menu online, so I came in to make my decision. After looking over the menu for a few minutes, I wound up resorting to my usual escape when overwhelmed with options - and asked the server "What's YOUR favorite?" Per my server's suggestion, I wound up with a Spring Sprout sandwich (turkey, tomato, sprouts, avocado, on toasted whole wheat) and I was very happy with what I received. It tasted healthy, but still delicious and filling. The staff was super friendly, and my server, the gentleman working behind the bar (Dominick or Brian.. I forget his name) was able to carry on pleasant conversation while I waited. I also got the chance to speak with the owner (Brad, I think his name was) who sat with me for a moment and discussed their menu. He asked me what I like to eat and offered suggestions for my next visit (Fried/breaded pork tenderloin sandwich.. yum! :) OVERALL: Tasty, non-creepy food. Friendly, comfortable atmosphere. It's no French Laundry, but it's a nice, solid diner.

This is a wonderful place, especially for a bar/restaurant. The menu is eclectic, the food is wonderful, and the owner is very welcoming and courteous. Some of the waitresses are slower than others, but overall the service is great. I would recommend the CharCrust Steak, the Italian Stalion sandwich or the Monte Cristo sandwich, ALL great. There are many different types of food, from American to Greek to Italian to Mexican, including specials most days. The environment is a little dark for lunch, but it is more intimate than just dark. Lovely place!

I sat outside with my fiance and a visiting family friend over a Thursday lunch hour under an umbrella. I first sat down in the sun without an umbrella as that was the only open table. Once I saw a table open up, I asked to move as I was in a long button down shirt and slacks, if I was in shorts and a t-shirt, I would have stayed. The outdoor patio has 9-12 tables and is situated along 7th street which is moderately busy with constant traffic passing by. The outdoor patio is a great outdoor place. I ordered the Gyro sandwich with a side salad. The cucumber sauce and and pita bread were great. The spiced beef and lamb was sliced thin and was prepared just right. (I ordered this as other Yelp reviews suggested.) Service is so so, but to the restaurants credit, the patio was full and everyone probably did sit down and order at the same time. Our waitress was a doll and she did a great job in keeping drinks full and refilling without requesting so. I found the Blue Moon to be a great lunch stop, very casual and lots of locals eating here exchanging hugs. The owner was very present in seating patrons and was extremely personable and friendly.

Love this place! While it offers the standard bar and grill menu, the ownership, friendly staff, and much of the menu have remained the same since I started going here for the Monte Cristo sandwich with my mom when I was in high school. The sandwich is still sinfully delicious, and I've even strayed from time to time (by this I mean I've snagged bites of my husband's food) and never been disappointed. He usually gets the lamb burger; it's juicy, cooked perfectly, and served with bright, fresh vegetables to top it with. It's a place where nothing changing is a totally good thing.

Blue Moon is slowly wiggling it's way into my good graces. After a couple of pretty poor serving experiences elsewhere in town, I've found myself back here. The last three times I have tried the Moon, I have had stelar service (puns). Not only was the first meet n greet very timely, but I never had to wait long for a drink. Granted, it wasn't very full for the first two times, but even on a Saturday night, my glass would only be empty long enough for the ice chips to say 'hello, goodbye'. Which in my book, is dangerously acceptable. While there is definitely cheaper PBR being served in the GeeJ (ahem Rocky Mountain Pub), I don't always like to be on my guard, watching for the crazies while enjoying a frosty malt beverage. Not to say Junction Guidos are any more or less crazy than the folks at the RMP... but I kind of have a soft spot for people who's skin can tan, and arms sporadically fist pump. Note: It seems that Saturday is when folks come to howl at the Blue Moon.

I was visiting Grand Junction, CO for the first time for work. In fact, I'd never been to this part of the country before. The scenery is breathtaking and the locals are extremely nice! The menu stated the burger included sirloin, so that was also a plus. One of my companions also talked into having the green chili chicken soup also. The soup arrived quickly, piping hot. The flavor of that soup was AMAZING!! A very nice creamy broth, wonderfully cooked chili peppers and very tender, nicely seasoned chicken. The soup was complimented with some nice, crispy tortilla strips and it was truly nice. It disappeared in what seemed like minutes and I was very disappointed afterwards! When my burger arrived, I could tell I was in for my second treat! The bun had been placed on the grill, the accompanying lettuce and tomato were perfect and above all, the burger was cooked to perfection! (I requested medium rare). The burger had tons of flavor in it and like the soup before it, disappeared from my plate rather quickly! The rest of the menu might be considered "typical" bar food. But for my experience today, the typical experience was the great food! I highly recommend it if you're visiting Grand Junction, CO. Take in the sight of the breathtaking mountains and enjoy some great comfort food!

UGH! I'd really like to give the Blue Moon a one-star review but I just can't. Over the last twenty years I've had some great experiences here and their food is generally acceptable (though admittedly not great). But I will never again, and I mean never, give them my business (which is sad because I've always found the owner and staff to be great). So why will I never set foot inside this establishment again? When I had some friends visit from out of town I recommended the Blue Moon to them. This proved to be a horrible mistake. I arrived after they had received their food and was astonished by what occurred. I'll put it in script form for you where "F" is my friend and "S" is the server. F: This coleslaw is bland, could I replace it with another side item. S: (picks up coleslaw and holds it up to her face) It looks fine to me. F: Yes, look, I just don't like it. Can I get some fries? S: Well, I'd have to charge you. F: Sure, ok, I understand. Can you do that? S: Well, I could put the order in now... I... guess. F: So you can't just add an order of fries? S: Oh, sure, but what about the coleslaw? F: (sensing correctly the pointlessness of the situation) Yeah, I'll just not eat the coleslaw and complain about your business if it's that hard for you to add an order of fries to our check. S: OK! Can I get you guys anything else. Me: ... ... ... This is customer service at its worst. Not only should they have just given my friend a replacement order of fries for free but, barring that, the server should be willing to add anything to the check that the customer orders. Also, since I arrived late, she apparently wasn't interested in me ordering food so I also didn't get to eat. Obviously, instead of staying there to finish our night we promptly went to another establishment downtown (which in turn, as always, provided great service). It's been four days and I'm still pissed about this. Not only did the server upset my friend and make us all feel like we were inconveniencing her, BUT she also made me look stupid for suggesting such an horrible restaurant. It is now no surprise that they were almost completely empty at 9pm on a Friday. What a joke!

Blue Moon Bar & Grille is exactly as advertised - a bar (with a cool 50s theme), and a grille but the bar's the focus of this establishment. We weren't looking for a gourmet meal and the menu offers standard, average bar fare. We took our 18-month-old daughter here for lunch and got hamburgers, beer, and quesadillas. If you're also inclined to bring babies to bars take note of the fact that this one doesn't have highchairs - but they do have at least one booster seat, so we made it work. The service was great, the bartender and server were more than accommodating in trying to get our daughter comfortable. Parking was easy for lunch but may be more difficult on weekends. The prices were around $8 for a burger and $7 for a quesadilla, $4 for a beer. If I lived here I'd probably try this place again on a weekend night, but for lunch it ranks 'meh' on the creativity spectrum.

Subpar at best, unfortunately. While it did not dampen the Grand Junction vacation overall, I had wished that we ended up a better place to end our first night in Grand Junction. The service was mediocre. Pleasant but not friendly, and the waitress was often too fast to get to and from our table, and her greeting and conversation with us was curt, what you would expect if it were terribly busy (the place was maybe half full.) I had a burger that was actually pretty decent, but the fries were terrible. They were also out of Blue Moon...which was a travesty. The lady had a chicken sandwich that didn't suck, but wasn't that great -- her fries were also terrible. The prices were average...and unfortunately so was everything else. I can see it as a hangout for drinks and things, but that's about it. If I go back to Grand Junction I probably won't be visiting Blue Moon again. Good to go to say you've been there, but not for much else unfortunately.

Whenever I'm in town I head immediately to the Blue Moon. I cannot recall any colder beer. It is colder than my ex-wifes heart! How about the finest fried pork tenderloin sandwich this side of the MOON? Hogs are frantically jumping line to be served at the infamous MOON. "We'll serve no hog before it's time". It will be a long time until I'm tired of great service, great food, cold beer, hot chicks, poor golfers willing to lose money, many MILF's, and the endless pursuit of happiness and the American Way. My only constructive criticism is that you should serve boiled peanuts at the bar. Need a recipe? Just call me!

Lamb Burger....YES! Get it with Feta cheese. Juicy & delicious, I would actually describe it as "mouthwatering". Yes, I said it. I have lunch here about once a month with a friend who works downtown, so its very quick and convenient for her. Her typical order is the Monte Cristo sandwich, one of the best I've had ever, anywhere. Indulgent. Salads are good, not earth shattering. If they are offering a Greek special, such as their amazing Pastitsio, you are in for a treat. Service can vary depending on when you visit. I do recommend eating outside if the weather is amenable.

A group of 8 of us dropped in for lunch. Was seated quickly given the party size, and service was great. Folks on my end of the table ordered greek food. Two had the pastitsio. Received large portions and gave the dish two thumbs up. I had gyros and the were pretty good - wouldn't rank them classic greek though. The other end of the table had either salads or the monte cristo sandwiches. Good feed back on the monte cristo sandwiches. Quick, tasty lunch with separate checks for a group of 8. Outstanding food and excellent service. The lunch specials and menu items are all great. Even during the lunch rush, the good comes out hot and fast. The lemon orzo soup is outstanding, along with the Greek salad hummus wrap. Both are rotating menu items, but I hope they make the menu someday. They've raised the price of the blackened sirloin from 14 to 18 dollars, so I went for the Greek app, which comes with a second plate of bread and tomatoes. It was pretty good, but not outstanding. BTW, the Moon has HORRIBLE acoustics. It was so loud last night that the bartender couldn't hear our order correctly, and regular conversation was pretty much out of the question, and that's just from people talking, there was no live (or canned) music. If it's busy and you're looking for some intimacy, go elsewhere.

UGH! I'd really like to give the Blue Moon a one-star review but I just can't. Over the last twenty years I've had some great experiences here and their food is generally acceptable (though admittedly not great). But I will never again, and I mean never, give them my business (which is sad because I've always found the owner and staff to be great). So why will I never set foot inside this establishment again? When I had some friends visit from out of town I recommended the Blue Moon to them. This proved to be a horrible mistake. I arrived after they had received their food and was astonished by what occurred. I'll put it in script form for you where "F" is my friend and "S" is the server. F: This coleslaw is bland, could I replace it with another side item. S: (picks up coleslaw and holds it up to her face) It looks fine to me. F: Yes, look, I just don't like it. Can I get some fries? S: Well, I'd have to charge you. F: Sure, ok, I understand. Can you do that? S: Well, I could put the order in now... I... guess. F: So you can't just add an order of fries? S: Oh, sure, but what about the coleslaw? F: (sensing correctly the pointlessness of the situation) Yeah, I'll just not eat the coleslaw and complain about your business if it's that hard for you to add an order of fries to our check. S: OK! Can I get you guys anything else. Me: ... ... ... This is customer service at its worst. Not only should they have just given my friend a replacement order of fries for free but, barring that, the server should be willing to add anything to the check that the customer orders. Also, since I arrived late, she apparently wasn't interested in me ordering food so I also didn't get to eat. Obviously, instead of staying there to finish our night we promptly went to another establishment downtown (which in turn, as always, provided great service). It's been four days and I'm still pissed about this. Not only did the server upset my friend and make us all feel like we were inconveniencing her, BUT she also made me look stupid for suggesting such an horrible restaurant. It is now no surprise that they were almost completely empty at 9pm on a Friday. What a joke!

This was kind of whatever. There wasn't anything exceptional, but nothing terrible either. Its probably better at night due to the lighting, but the look is pretty cool. We went early in the morning where the staff was just kind of sitting around and eating at the bar. Food was ok, service was ok...this place was just ok.

Blue Moon Bar & Grille is exactly as advertised - a bar (with a cool 50s theme), and a grille but the bar's the focus of this establishment. We weren't looking for a gourmet meal and the menu offers standard, average bar fare. We took our 18-month-old daughter here for lunch and got hamburgers, beer, and quesadillas. If you're also inclined to bring babies to bars take note of the fact that this one doesn't have highchairs - but they do have at least one booster seat, so we made it work. The service was great, the bartender and server were more than accommodating in trying to get our daughter comfortable. Parking was easy for lunch but may be more difficult on weekends. The prices were around $8 for a burger and $7 for a quesadilla, $4 for a beer. If I lived here I'd probably try this place again on a weekend night, but for lunch it ranks 'meh' on the creativity spectrum.

Subpar at best, unfortunately. While it did not dampen the Grand Junction vacation overall, I had wished that we ended up a better place to end our first night in Grand Junction. The service was mediocre. Pleasant but not friendly, and the waitress was often too fast to get to and from our table, and her greeting and conversation with us was curt, what you would expect if it were terribly busy (the place was maybe half full.) I had a burger that was actually pretty decent, but the fries were terrible. They were also out of Blue Moon...which was a travesty. The lady had a chicken sandwich that didn't suck, but wasn't that great -- her fries were also terrible. The prices were average...and unfortunately so was everything else. I can see it as a hangout for drinks and things, but that's about it. If I go back to Grand Junction I probably won't be visiting Blue Moon again. Good to go to say you've been there, but not for much else unfortunately.

The food is soooo good, they have the best monte cristo sandwich. The lighting inside is a little dark but the food makes up for it.

Went here for lunch and ordered a 'Monte Cristo with curly fries'. I was in the mood for fattening and this certainly fit the bill. I thought the atmosphere was charming. The tvs were distracting and the music a bit loud for my taste. Service was perfect. Will be back!

Whenever I'm in town I head immediately to the Blue Moon. I cannot recall any colder beer. It is colder than my ex-wifes heart! How about the finest fried pork tenderloin sandwich this side of the MOON? Hogs are frantically jumping line to be served at the infamous MOON. "We'll serve no hog before it's time". It will be a long time until I'm tired of great service, great food, cold beer, hot chicks, poor golfers willing to lose money, many MILF's, and the endless pursuit of happiness and the American Way. My only constructive criticism is that you should serve boiled peanuts at the bar. Need a recipe? Just call me!

Lamb Burger....YES! Get it with Feta cheese. Juicy & delicious, I would actually describe it as "mouthwatering". Yes, I said it. I have lunch here about once a month with a friend who works downtown, so its very quick and convenient for her. Her typical order is the Monte Cristo sandwich, one of the best I've had ever, anywhere. Indulgent. Salads are good, not earth shattering. If they are offering a Greek special, such as their amazing Pastitsio, you are in for a treat. Service can vary depending on when you visit. I do recommend eating outside if the weather is amenable.

A group of 8 of us dropped in for lunch. Was seated quickly given the party size, and service was great. Folks on my end of the table ordered greek food. Two had the pastitsio. Received large portions and gave the dish two thumbs up. I had gyros and the were pretty good - wouldn't rank them classic greek though. The other end of the table had either salads or the monte cristo sandwiches. Good feed back on the monte cristo sandwiches. Quick, tasty lunch with separate checks for a group of 8. Great job all around.

Was ok not very great, whenever we set at our outside tables it never got cleaned after sitting for 20 min .. Service was decent. I'm positive I won't go back

Just ate dinner, terrible! Had the blackened prime rib, over cooked had to send it back. Seasoned too much couldn't taste the meat. Lunch is ok, but steaks are not so much!

Outstanding food and excellent service. The lunch specials and menu items are all great. Even during the lunch rush, the good comes out hot and fast. The lemon orzo soup is outstanding, along with the Greek salad hummus wrap. Both are rotating menu items, but I hope they make the menu someday. Really, you can't go wrong with any food or drinks here!

Reliable consistent food, friendly hometown ambiance. A place the local business people go for lunch. Be prepared for he noise when they're busy-high tin ceilings in a cool old building.

This place was awesome. Very upscale with excellent music selection. The bartenders & server were friendly & talkative. The Milky Way martini was fantastic! I've never tasted anything like it; I even used my finger to get every last drop. We had chicken fingers buffalo tossed with celery & carrots instead of fries. Seems like a great place to go on a Friday/Saturday although the crowd was small.

Typical bar food. Quick place to eat for lunch, nothing that really wow's you. The servers are great. Not quite a 4 star place, I'd say almost a 4, 3.75 rating. Cool art around, so sit on the patio and enjoy the sun and art.

They've raised the price of the blackened sirloin from 14 to 18 dollars, so I went for the Greek app, which comes with a second plate of bread and tomatoes. It was pretty good, but not outstanding. BTW, the Moon has HORRIBLE acoustics. It was so loud last night that the bartender couldn't hear our order correctly, and regular conversation was pretty much out of the question, and that's just from people talking, there was no live (or canned) music. If it's busy and you're looking for some intimacy, go elsewhere.
